stopped by Subway sandwich shop and a McDonald’s after committing the mass murder, authorities said Thursday.

Nikolas Cruz, 19, fled the school by dropping his weapon and blending in with other students before ducking into a Walmart and then heading to a Subway to purchase a drink, Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel said at a press conference.

Cruz then entered the McDonald’s at 3:01 p.m. and sat in the fast food restaurant for a period of time before taking off on foot, Israel said.

At 3:41 p.m. Cruz was taken into custody by a local police officer without incident.

The information was revealed by authorities along with a timeline of what happened inside the school during the mayhem.
