Pan, a grad student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, allegedly gunned down Kevin Jiang, 26, on a New Haven, Connecticut, street on Feb. 6.

The motive for the shooting is still not clear. Instagram

After the killing, US Marshals identified Pan as a person of interest and issued a $10,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.

It’s unclear why he allegedly killed Jiang, an Army veteran and graduate student at Yale who had recently gotten engaged to be married.

Pan is a US citizen who was born in China and was last known to be living in Massachusetts, the Associated Press reported.

Jiang was shot several times on the February morning and later found on the ground outside of his car on a New Haven street.
