RANDLE, Wash. — Authorities in Lewis County have arrested two suspects after investigators searching for a missing teen found his body buried in a shallow grave.

The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office said Saturday that a 16-year-old boy and a 21-year-old man had been arrested by state troopers on Interstate 90 in Ellensburg. They’re being held on investigation of murder.

The Centralia Chronicle reports that the Lewis County coroner said 16-year-old Ben Eastman III of Randle died of injuries to his head. His death was ruled a homicide.

The suspects were expected to make their first court appearance Monday in Lewis County Superior Court.

Eastman, last seen since June 23, was reported missing Wednesday. His body was found on a remote property that belongs to a relative of one of the suspects.
