WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Authorities say a 20-year-old man drowned over the weekend after getting stuck in vegetation at a lake in southeastern Michigan.
The death occurred at Stony Creek Lake at Stony Creek Metropark in Macomb County. The sheriff’s office says Rayven Elia was from Sterling Heights. He died early Sunday at a hospital.
A Warren man, also 20 years old, got to shore with help from a boater around 8 p.m. Saturday.
