‘Tea’ was a target: poll
WASHINGTON — Most Americans think it was no accident that the Internal Revenue Service went after Tea Party and other politically conservative groups, according to a poll released yesterday.
A majority 56 percent said the IRS deliberately targeted conservative groups for extra scrutiny, according to the Washington Post/ABC News poll.
Just 31 percent said they believed the IRS was guilty only of an “administrative mistake.”
