A South Carolina teacher faces charges after she was busted half-naked in public with a student, officials said.

Elizabeth Heaton Taylor, a Greer High School educator, was arrested Thursday evening when she was caught with the teen in a vehicle, news station WYFF reported.

The 27-year-old biology teacher is accused of having at least two sexual encounters with the student, according to authorities.

Deputies said they discovered Taylor partially undressed with the teen Thursday inside a Ford Explorer parked suspiciously in Simpsonville.

During the investigation, she initially gave deputies a fake name, authorities said.

Taylor was booked at Greenville County Detention Center on charges for sexual battery with a student between 16 and 17 years old and giving false information to police. She is being held on a $10,250 bond.

Greenville County School officials said that Taylor was let go Friday from the district, the Greenville News reported.
