A teenager fell to his death from a Washington waterfall after slipping on rocks while walking across the top, according to authorities.
The unidentified 18-year-old slipped while walking across the top of the Sol Duc Falls in Olympic National Park on Sunday, sending him plummeting 50 feet into a narrow canyon between two waterfalls, the National Park Service (NPS) said.
Although he briefly resurfaced at the bottom of the waterfall, he died after becoming submerged under the water again, according to witnesses.
