A Florida teen faces charges for allegedly shooting and killing a little girl’s puppy that was out on a walk, authorities said.

Johansen Concepcion De La Ros, 19, was arrested Saturday in Davie for allegedly gunning down an 8-month-old Chihuahua, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported.

The dog named Princess was recently purchased in April as a present for an 8-year-old girl, according to the newspaper.

Police said the pup was on a trail with her owners when the teen shot the dog with a “sniper rifle” from a second-floor balcony.

Witnesses said they saw two men run from the balcony into the apartment following the shooting, news station WFLA reported.

Officers went to the residence and confronted the teen, who claimed the shooting was an accident, according to police.

He was booked on animal cruelty charges at Broward County jail, where he is being held on $2,500 bond.
