A family of Honduran immigrants living in Oklahoma City were shot by teens with BB guns on Monday, but they didn’t report the incident to police because of their undocumented status, according to a report.

Three teens chased the family — a father, his two sons and 6-year-old daughter — into the backyard of a home and opened fire, according to KFOR.com.

The father was struck in the shoulder, an 11-year-old son was hit in the arm and his daughter was shot in the leg.

When the owner of the backyard the family was chased into came home, she saw the trio of teens flee the scene, the report said.

The owner, Mrs. Quintero, then found the injured family when she ventured into her backyard.

“I was terrified,” Quintero told the network. “I’m still terrified. The little boy was holding his arm. I said, ‘Let me take you to the hospital, he’s bleeding.’”

The woman said she offered to take the family to a hospital, and encouraged them to report the incident to cops, but they declined because of deportation fears.

“I feel for that family right now, I really do, and I wish we could help these people out because they need help, they need our help,” Quintero said.

“You can be legal or illegal, it doesn’t matter. You cannot be victims of these crimes.”

She eventually drove the family home and reported the attack to police herself, the report said.
