SpaceX and Tesla Motors founder Elon Musk made headlines recently publishing his plans for the futuristic Hyperloop transportation.
Now, fueling the comparison often drawn between Musk and Tony Stark, aka Iron Man, Musk revealed in a Twitter exchange with the movie’s director Jon Favreau that he’d “figured out how to design rocket parts just w[ith] hand movements.”
Favreau asked Musk if this new technology, which Mush teased he would reveal in a video next week, was “Like in Iron Man?” See Musk’s full response on Twitter below:
We figured out how to design rocket parts just w hand movements through the air (seriously). Now need a high frame rate holograph generator.

@Jon_Favreau Yup. We saw it in the movie and made it real. Good idea!

And, uhh no (zillionth person who asked), I am not going to make an IM suit, however design by hand-manipulated hologram is actually useful.

Will post video next week of designing a rocket part with hand gestures & then immediately printing it in titanium
