A 7-year-old boy with cerebral palsy saved his entire family in Texas from a carbon monoxide leak in their home.
Michael Martinez, who uses a wheelchair due to the congenital disorder, heard a beeping sound last week while the rest of his family was asleep at their home in Atascocita, news station KHOU reported.
“I was shaking because I was scared,” he told the outlet.

The beeping sound turned out to be the carbon monoxide detector, which had detected a leak that was coming out of their stove.
His seven other family members — including his mom, who had already begun to experience symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning — rushed out of the home.
