A Texas kidnapping victim rescued after a dramatic SWAT operation was thrown in jail hours after leaving the clutches of her alleged abductor in a stunning turn of events.

Police in San Antonio hunted down Geoffrey Garcia, 35, who was suspected of dragging his ex, Destiny Ferdin, 27, into his truck and speeding off, sparking a citywide manhunt on Wednesday, News 4 reported.

They tracked the suspect to a motel Thursday morning, where a SWAT team used flashbangs and arrested the alleged kidnapper and rescued Ferdin alive and unharmed.

She was treated at a hospital — and promptly arrested when authorities discovered she was a suspected gang member with six outstanding warrants.

Ferdin faces multiple charges of theft, drug possession and unauthorized use of a vehicle from 2023 to 2025.

She was also arrested last year after she and an 18-year-old suspected gang member allegedly drove a stolen Kia Forte past a ceremony for a newly promoted sheriff’s deputy. The officers sprang into action and chased them down, News 4 reported at the time.

Witnesses said Garcia and Ferdin had been in a relationship, according to KSAT.

He allegedly grabbed her at an apartment complex on Wednesday and forced her into his white pickup truck. Authorities issued a missing-persons alert, and police searched for Ferdin throughout the night.

Now, she’s facing charges including theft of property between $100 and $750; two counts of unauthorized use of a vehicle and three counts of possession of a controlled substance.

Garcia was booked for kidnapping.
