Trueba told authorities that he used drugs with the couple, who identified themselves as husband and wife. He also claimed to have met the pair on an online dating app, according to an affidavit obtained by Fox4.

He later told cops that the husband and wife tried to sexually assault him — prompting him to open fire on the couple, the affidavit said, per the outlet.

The shooting and motive remain under investigation, cops said.
