A 15-year-old Texas boy was busted after home surveillance video showed him beating his mother to death over the weekend, local authorities said. 

Police responded to a home on Donelson Drive in the city of McKinney around 1 a.m. Sunday after the teen’s father called 911, cops said. 

Officers found his mother, Stacy Ellen Barney, 50, dead inside the home. 

Surveillance video obtained by police captured the brutal attack. 

Authorities found the teen nearby following a search. He was charged with murder. No further details about the attack or what caused it have been released.

“Our hearts go out to the victim’s family during this extremely difficult time,” McKinney police said in a statement.

“This is an ongoing investigation.”
