A man holds a girl as she tries to escape when she realised she is to to be married, about 80 km (50 miles) from the town of Marigat in Baringo County December 7, 2014. As Pokot tradition dictates, the future husband arrived to her family home with a group of men to collect the girl. The men arrived with the last settled dowry of livestock for the girl's family. In this case it was 20 goats, three camels and 10 cows, given during a period of several weeks. The remaining 10 cows were to be given the morning the girl was taken to her new home by her husband and the rest of the men. The girl was unaware of the marriage arrangements that her father had made. The family said that if they had told her in advance she might have run away from home. In the Pokot tradition, parents give their daughters as wives usually at the beginning of their adolescence. The Pokots have developed social structure and practices that aim to optimise the chance of survival of each household in an often difficult and hostile environment. The girls are ready for marriage after an initiation ceremony marking their passing over into womanhood. Picture taken December 7, 2014. Pic shows: Chen Kefan stripped off to reveal an elaborate flower tattoo and performed his ‘One With Nature’ routine on the top of a mountain. A dance instructor is hoping to start a new nature movement - by getting people to dance naked in nature. Nature-loving choreographer Chen Kefan, 29, said: "My vision is for dancers all over China and then the world to take their clothes off and become one with nature. "Dancing is an artistic expression, and naked dancing is an extension of that. "Humans, we take, take, take from nature all the time. "By dancing naked in scenic areas we can, in this way, start giving back to nature. "It can be in a field, a park, a forest, anywhere there is nature all around you." Taking to a cliff top overlooking the famous Floating Mountains in Zhangjiajie National Forest in China’s northern Hunan Province, Chen stripped off to reveal an elaborate flower tattoo and performed his ‘One With Nature’ routine, which included balancing on one arm, standing on his head, doing a Gangnam-style shuffle and standing on one leg on the edge of a cliff. But his actions got mixed responses from bewildered passers-by. Rambler Kuan-Yin Kang, 30, and his wife Tai, 29, said: "We had come to explore the beauty of this place and didn't expect to see this. "It’s very good, but I’m not sure if it's what I want to see in the countryside." Onlooker You Liu, 26, said: "I’m sure his intentions are good, but I don’t see how spreading your legs and exposing your genitals to the sun is going to give anything back to nature. "If anything it’s going to get you arrested for indecent exposure." (ends)
