Let the wild reading start.
President Obama and the first lady got into character as they gave a spirited dramatization of the beloved children’s book “Where the Wild Things Are” during their last White House Easter Egg Roll.
At one point, Obama affected a bug-eyed expression while reading from the book, as his wife put on a frowny face.
They also asked the crowd of kids to help them roar on the lawn, just like Maurice Sendak’s monsters.
“I’m gonna need a little help,” Obama said as he opened the story.
This year’s White House Easter Egg Roll included musical performances, a yoga session on the South Lawn and cooking demonstrations. Costumed stormtroopers from “Star Wars” even joined the Easter Bunny — before a Capitol gun scare (Page 5) put the White House on lockdown.
