The Republican National Committee on Monday resumed funding Roy Moore’s Senate campaign — weeks after the party halted their support in the wake of numerous sexual harassment allegations launched against him.
The RNC’s decision to funnel money and staff to the Alabama Senate candidate came on the same day President Trump called Moore and offered his “full support,” according to The Daily Beast.
Moore’s campaign has been plagued with allegations that he harassed multiple women when they were teenagers.
The RNC withdrew it’s support last month amid the reports that Moore routinely preyed on teenage girls when he was in his 30s.
Moore has denied knowing any of the women who made the allegations.
One of those woman — who dated Moore at 17 when he was 34 — provided The Washington Post on Monday with a card Moore gave her on her high school graduation.
“Happy graduation Debbie,” the card read. “I wanted to give you this card myself. I know that you’ll be a success in anything you do. Roy.”
