You’d think Kris Kringle would live in Santa Claus.

It’s always Christmas in this Indiana town named after jolly old Saint Nick.

Every year, letters from children across the country pour into Santa Claus around the holidays.

“Dear Santa from Reese I have Been Pretty Good. I wish for cabbage patch Kid and Dog. Also I wish for a big Poodle,” one girl wrote.

Another asked Santa how his summer was before writing a list of present ideas.

“I want for my room to be clean and a hoverboard,” the child wrote. “Can you get anything for my bunny, Mr. Carrot? Or my dog, Hawk? I want my world to be the real world.”

Since 1914, local volunteers who call themselves Santa’s elves spend the month of December responding to the letters.
