The fierce internal White House battle between two of President Trump’s top aides shows no signs of letting up.

H.R. McMaster has been the target of a sustained campaign to oust him as national security adviser over claims he’s not a Trump loyalist or believer in an “America First” foreign policy.

Leading the charge is Breitbart News, the conservative website once run by Trump adviser Steve Bannon.

Bannon and McMaster have clashed over staffing at the National Security Council and strategy in Afghanistan.

Breitbart has filled its website with unflattering McMaster news, while a social media campaign to #firemcmaster is afoot.

The editorial board of the Wall Street Journal came to McMaster’s defense Tuesday, saying Bannon has been a White House survivor, but his warring habits have also been responsible for much of the White House dysfunction.

Breitbart News counter-punched Wednesday by saying the “globalist” paper is out of step with Trump and his base.
