A veterinarian and her husband saved a lost, terrified and bloodied baby fox, after coming across the animal while hunting for gems in West Virginia.

Beau Ouimette and his wife filmed the dramatic rescue of the fox, which was about a month old and had blood on its neck, according to Storyful.

The couple nursed the animal back to health and ultimately dropped it off at a wildlife refuge in Virginia.

“We only had her for a few days,” the couple said in the video, “and she stole our hearts.”
