See you later, fugitive – and your alligator, too.

US Marshals on the hunt for a suspect in Ohio found much more than they bargained for on Thursday: a 3-foot-long alligator in a fish tank owned by a convicted drug trafficker.

Robert Watson, 31, was arrested at his residence in Willoughby Hills by members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force, the Willoughby Hills Police Department and the US Probation Service for probation violations stemming from a federal drug conviction.

Officers then found the alligator inside a large fish tank during a subsequent search of Watson’s home. Animal control officers were later notified and will determine if the animal is prohibited by local ordinances.
