Oh deer — that’s not how Rudolph’s nose shines red!

A three-legged buck in Oregon had gotten a string of Christmas lights wrapped around his antlers before state wildlife officials stepped in to remove them on Monday.

The deer — nicknamed “Tripod,” by residents of Dallas — “was not run over by a reindeer but got tangled up in lights while decking the halls,” the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife quipped in a tweet.

Officials from the agency shot the deer with a tranquilizing dart and unsnarled the lights from its antlers.

It’s unclear how Tripod lost his front right leg, however wildlife officials said “the leg wound is fully healed and the deer seems to get around OK.”
