Three teens have escaped a youth correctional facility in Oregon through a hole in a fence, officials said.
The trio allegedly attacked a staffer, took their keys then escaped through the fence at the McLaren Youth Correctional Facility in Woodburn around 12:45 a.m. Sunday, the Oregon Youth Authority said in a statement.
They were identified as Preston Andrizzi, 19, Anthony Fitz-Henry, 18, and Christian Goin, 17.
“The three young men are considered a safety risk to themselves and to others,” authorities said.
The staffer who was injured was taken to the hospital, but has since been released, officials said.
The teens, who lived together in the same unit, likely planned the escape, OYA spokesperson Sarah Evans told CNN.
MacLaren, the state’s largest juvenile correctional campus, was placed on lockdown after the trio took off, OregonLive reported.
