A 2-year-old boy fell into a koi pond and nearly drowned Sunday at a home on Long Island, according to police.
The toddler was at a residence in Central Islip when he was found “unresponsive” inside the koi pond at around 2:30 p.m., cops said.
First responders rushed him to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, where he was revived. The boy was said to be in serious condition. He was scheduled to be transported to Cohen Children’s Medical Center in Queens for further treatment.
It’s unclear how the boy fell into the koi pond, which was located outside. Police were still investigating Sunday night.
