The tone-deaf president of Princess Cruises greeted people disembarking from the coronavirus-stricken ship off the coast of Japan — making a heart gesture and blowing kisses — the same day it emerged that two passengers died of the disease.

Video posted to the company’s Twitter account late Wednesday shows Jan Swartz forming a heart over her head as she faced the Diamond Princess ship, which has been docked in a Yokohama port for weeks.

Swartz, wearing a white surgical mask over her nose and mouth, is also shown bowing to passengers and crew, and posing for photos with some at one point during the day on Wednesday.

“In a continued effort to support our #DiamondPrincess guests and crew, our President Jan Swartz personally welcomed those disembarking in Yokohama today,” the video’s caption says. “The entire Princess family is with each and every one of you during this time.”

Meanwhile, Japan’s health ministry said late Wednesday that an 87-year-old man and an 84-year-old woman who were on board the ship had died of COVID-19.

Both had existing pulmonary issues, authorities said.

The Diamond Princess started letting passengers who tested negative for the virus disembark Wednesday. Test results are still pending for some people on board.

Before the quarantine on the ship had ended, the United States evacuated more than 300 Americans and put them in quarantine in the US for another 14 days.

South Korea, Australia and Hong Kong followed suit, while Canada and Italy sent flights for their citizens as well.
