A Nevada tot was mauled to death by a pet dog belonging to a family friend, officials said.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office on Monday identified the victim as 15-month-old Kyna Marie Pamela Deshane.

The 4-year-old Rottweiler mauled the little girl around 7:50 a.m. Saturday at a home on Appian Way, according to Henderson police.

She was brought to a local hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries about an hour later, officials said. Her death was ruled an accident.

Animal control officers took the Rottweiler into custody and euthanized the dog “per the owner’s request,” police said.
