A Texas man wanted for killing his wife is still on the lam one year after he allegedly ditched his ankle monitor and took off in a Chevy Tahoe that he stole at knifepoint from a car dealership, authorities said.
Trent Vahn Paschal, 48, of La Marque, remains a fugitive after he fled while out on bond in the fatal shooting of his wife, Savannah Paschal, 30, at their home on Oct. 21, 2020.
“We’re constantly on guard,” Savannah’s father, Michael Kinchen, told news station KTRK. “Constantly watching. It’s high anxiety. It’s been a very hard year.”
Paschal was charged with murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and felon in possession of a weapon.
Though he was ordered to wear an ankle monitor as part of his bond conditions, he somehow got it off without it sending an alert to authorities, KTRK reported.
He went to a car dealership on April 13 and stole a Chevy Tahoe by holding a salesman at knifepoint during a test drive, authorities said.

La Marque Police Department“He pulled out a knife and told me to get out of the car,” the salesman, Jack Ford, told the news station. “I had weird vibes about the guy, like something wasn’t right, but I didn’t think he was going to steal a car.”
Bonds were revoked for Paschal, who is still wanted by US Marshals one year later.
Authorities believe he has left the state and could possibly be in the Green Bay, Wisconsin, area.
