Four people were injured after a box truck crashed into a busy Boston sidewalk Tuesday afternoon – but officials believe the incident was nothing more than a “tragic accident.”

The truck flipped sideways just before 1 p.m. near an intersection in Boston’s Chinatown neighborhood, with alarming photos from the scene showing a Penske moving truck on its side wedged between a streetlamp and a building façade.

Four people were taken to the hospital — including the truck’s driver, who was left in critical condition.

The three others are currently stable, police confirmed.

Two more people were hurt but refused medical attention at the scene.

Officials are still investigating the incident, but do not believe it was an attack of any kind.

“It does not seem to be an intentional incident,” Boston Mayor Michelle Wu told reporters at a press conference near the site of the wreck.
