Itās a quack way to get around.
As heavy rains caused floods across southeast Texas on Sunday amid Tropical Storm Hanna, video showed some locals making the most of the wild weather ā by tying rope to a giant inflatable duck, hitching it to their truck and chauffeuring kids through the neighborhood.
In the clip posted to Twitter by user @wizardofozma, a red pickup casually makes its way down a flooded residential street in Edinburg as three girls ride lazily along in the giant yellow duck-turned-boat.
āOnly in the Valley! Poor manās Venice,ā the video caption says.
Meanwhile, in McAllen, Texas an impassable ācanalā formed along at least one residential street, according to video posted by Twitter user @hashtagwarfreek.
TwitterHanna made landfall as a hurricane on Saturday, before being downgraded to a tropical storm.
Parts of South Texas got at least 9 inches of rain.
