It could be a Yellow-Tufted Danny DeVito bird. Or maybe a rarely-sighted “Forest chicken?”

Twitter’s bird lovers were hard at work Friday trying to identify a fuzzy fledgling now recovering at Manhattan’s Wild Bird Fund sanctuary after being rescued from Harriman State Park.

Some of the better offers were “grump-warbler,”  the apparently related “Cutie-Pie Warbler,” or several variations that took advantage of the bird’s resemblance to DeVito, Einstein or comedian Larry David.

“It’s a Larry,” insisted one respondent.

“That bird needs a post quarantine haircut,” noted @Dorito314.

The Wild Bird Fund tweets that it is leaning toward Scarlet tanager.

Whatever it is, video posted by the Fund shows the critter is voracious, always a good sign for a rescue.
