SAN FRANCISCO — Two people were killed and two more were wounded on Thursday morning when a gunman opened fire in a parking lot near a US Social Security Administration building in California, local broadcaster KION reported.
KION said the suspected shooter had been taken into custody by police in Salinas, some 105 miles south of San Francisco, after the shooting broke out at around 8:45 a.m. Police told the broadcaster that the victims knew the suspect.
Further details were not immediately available. Representatives for Salinas police could not be immediately reached for details.
