Two young women were shot by a man wearing an Eagles jersey after an argument broke out between them during the team’s Super Bowl victory parade in Philadelphia Friday, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Gunfire erupted near the Philadelphia Museum of Art on 23rd and Spring Garden Streets — about a block away from the end of the parade route, according to the outlet.

The women, who appeared to be in their 20s, got into a verbal clash with the gunman during the celebration but details about what caused the fight weren’t immediately clear, Deputy Police Commissioner Frank Vanore told the outlet

Eagles coaches and players had given victory speeches on the steps of the venerable art house before the gunfire broke out.

Detectives were combing through video footage Friday to hunt down a suspect in a sea of Eagles jerseys as crowds from the parade dispersed, Vanore said.

The victims’ status is unknown, as is what led up to the shooting. The time it happened also wasn’t immediately clear.

Last year, one woman was killed and 22 others were wounded by gunfire — including 11 children — near the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl parade route on Feb. 14, 2024.

Police took three armed suspects into custody following the mass shooting. Two men, Dominic Miller and Lyndell Mays, were later charged with murder.
