An Uber driver has been accused of kidnapping and raping a female passenger in Boston, authorities said.

Alejandro Done, 46, pleaded not guilty Wednesday to the attack, which allegedly took place shortly after he picked the woman up at around 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 6.

When she got into his car and requested to be taken to her Cambridge home, Done told her she would need to pay him in cash, even though Uber trips are pre-arranged using credit-card info.

She got cash from an ATM, and returned to the car. Done then drove to a secluded area, where he hopped in the back seat, struck the woman several times and choked her so she couldn’t scream, prosecutors said.

He then allegedly raped the woman, who reported the incident to Cambridge police.

Cops used Uber’s records to identify Done. He was arrested and charged with rape, kidnapping, assault and battery.

His arraignment came just hours after Uber posted a statement promising new safety standards following a string of incidents involving its drivers.
