Two female paramedics in the UK may need to resuscitate their reputations after they were blasted for sharing footage of themselves twerking in the back of an ambulance.
Rhianna Higgins shared the heart-stopping action with her Yorkshire Ambulance Service colleague on TikTok as they choreographed dance videos during their break from duty, The Sun reported.
The uniformed blonde and brunette are seen shimmying, swaying and twerking in unison to a remix of Justin Bieberâs âBabyâ as they mug for the camera in the narrow confines of the emergency vehicle.
âLittle boogie on a break,â Higgins wrote in the post, which has been viewed more than 250,000 times and received more than 500 comments â many by people who ripped them for being unprofessional.
âNow I know why my man didnât make it,â said one TikTok user who was reminded that the women were on a break.
âShouldnât you be saving lives?â said another.
âUnder pressure?? donât think so,â a third said.
Another ticked-off user said: âThis is why ambulances take so long to respond.â
The first responders, who were on break when they recorded the video, also got their fair share of support for the clip. TikTokOne of the viewers even reported the clip to the National Health Service.
âWhy feel the need to comment and report hun, if youâre not keen just keep scrolling,â Higgins said in response.
But the first responders also got their share of support, with one person praising the âgreat video,â saying the women were âprob trying to relax after saving a life.â
Another thanked them for their service and âall the hard work you do.â
Higgins, who is understood to have been working for the ambulance service for at least 18 months, also posted other videos, including dancing in front of an ambulance and in a break room, The Sun reported.
