The national death toll from the coronavirus hit a grim milestone Monday, with more than 10,000 killed by the bug, according to Johns Hopkins University.
The number of dead increased 1,800 from Sunday, while confirmed cases went up by about 35,000 to 347,000.
The number of COVID-19 cases worldwide now stands at more than 1.3 million with 72,600 deaths across the globe.
