The US Marshals Service is hunting for a fugitive whom it describes as a genius nerd.

Ryan Dusha Kedar, 49, who is wanted in the killing of a South Carolina man, is both “extremely intelligent” and “socially awkward,” the feds say, according to The State newspaper.

“Kedar, who was born in Israel, received an undergraduate degree from the University of Tel Aviv and served in the Israeli army,” the marshals said in a release. “He received a graduate degree from the University of Washington.”

The release added: “While he should be considered extremely intelligent, investigators say he may display socially awkward behavior.”

Kedar, who is also believed to be armed, is sought in the Feb. 26 shooting death of Mark Jermon, 58.

Jermon was found shot to death at Herdklotz Park in Greenville County, South Carolina. The two men knew each other, the outlet reported.

Police found Kedar’s SUV abandoned near Paris Mountain State Park, a 1,540-acre park north of Greenville, a few days after the shooting. More than 100 officers searched the park that weekend but didn’t find Kedar — who is described as an avid outdoorsman familiar with parks in the area.

Authorities have released new details and said Kedar may be staying in hostels and motels in the mountains of the Carolinas, Tennessee, Kentucky or Virginia.

There is a $7,000 reward for information leading to his arrest — $5,000 from the marshals and $2,000 from Crime Stoppers of Greenville.
