Two men were busted for burglary in Illinois after getting spotted on a doorbell camera app — by a soldier 6,500 miles away in Iraq, according to cops.

US soldier Richard Wharton got an alert on his smartphone app that two strangers were breaking into the garage of his home in suburban Chicago at 2:30 a.m. Friday, Park Ridge police said.

Officers were there in “maybe a couple of minutes, tops,” the force’s Tom Gadomski told NBC Chicago, saying two suspects were arrested nearby.

“That’s how fast it was,” Gadomski told the station.

“Talk about service from Iraq back to Park Ridge, Illinois. That’s pretty impressive.”

Suspects Andres Gutierrez, 23, and Brandon Shaw, 24, had several items from Wharton’s garage as well as items from cars that had been broken into in the area, police said in a statement. They were each charged with three counts of burglary.

As well as marveling at the speed of the arrest, cops were thrilled to help a hero serving the country.

“We just can’t say thank you enough for both serving his country and local community,” Gadomski told WGN9.
