The Trump administration plans to sell 210 javelin anti-tank missiles and 37 launchers to Ukraine in a deal worth $47 million that is a major escalation of direct lethal aid.
Ukraine has been beefing up its military and vastly expanding its military budget following Russia’s annexation of Crimea in the eastern part of the country.
Russian strongman Vladimir Putin has also been supporting pro-Russia rebels in Ukraine itself.
