Adult film star Scott Finn has died at age 27 — after admitting to a difficult year and a half and a tough divorce.

The porn actor, whose real name is Rhett Messerly, was described as highly popular in school with an “immense capacity for accepting people for who they are,” in an online obituary from his family.

No cause of death was given.

However, Finn had hinted at issues in his personal life in his last social media post.

“Itss [sic] been a hard life the last year and a half with the devorce [sic] but im finally single again its been a while sence [sic] ive showed my fave [sic] so here you are,” he wrote in the post accompanied by a shirtless selfie, shared on X on June 18.

After entering the adult industry in 2018, Finn’s content appeared on gay websites, including Active Duty and Next Door Studios.

He was frank about his bisexuality and frequently responded to negative comments from trolls who accused him of being “gay-for-pay.”

“Lol you have no idea who I am. I’m a sexual f–ker. I like men and wemon [sic]… I’ve had sex with one female in the last 3 years. And about 100 men,” he wrote in response to a comment in 2020, Q Salt Lake reported.

Last year, he began shifting away from the adult movie industry, launching new social media accounts to highlight his love of cooking.

He died on Nov. 23, according to his parents, Joel and Libby Messerly and his memorial was held on Dec. 4.

“We find some comfort in knowing his pain here is over and he rests with his Heavenly Father again,” his parents wrote in their obituary for their son.

Finn attended Weber High School in Pleasant View, Utah, where he was “known as the ‘goofball’ to his peers, the ‘handsome boy with nice muscles’ to all the girls,” they recalled.

“He always had a way of bringing a smile and laughter to those who knew him,” the obituary read.

The grieving parents said he would be “remembered for his incredible capacity to help others.”

“He was especially sympathetic to women in need, whether it was helping them dig out their car from the snow, providing a meal or helping them feel safe in their circumstances,” his family wrote.

The heartbreaking obit also quipped that Finn was “quite the schmoozer” and “you could bet that he had at least 65 girlfriends at all times.”
