Authorities in Indiana say a varsity high school volleyball player was arrested in the shooting death of another teenager.
Brayden Berkshire, 18, was arrested Monday night on reckless homicide charges in the death of 18-year-old Nathan Joe Hopper at a Peru home, the Pharos-Tribune reported.
The Miami County Sheriff’s Office said they responded around 7 a.m. Sunday to a report of a shooting at Hopper’s residence, which is around 80 miles north of Indianapolis.
Officers determined Hopper suffered a gunshot wound and pronounced him dead at the scene.
The fatal shooting is under investigation and authorities haven’t released details surrounding the incident.
Berkshire, a senior at Logansport High School, is being held at Miami County Jail on $15,000 bail, the newspaper reported.
