Vegas killer Stephen Paddock repeatedly berated his gal pal in public, according to baristas at a coffee shop in a casino he frequented near his Nevada home.
Marilou Danley“It happened a lot,” Esperanza Mendoza, who supervises the Starbucks inside the Virgin River Casino in Mesquite, Nev., told the Los Angeles Times.
Workers described Paddock, 64, as baggy-eyed, beer-bellied and sleep-deprived.
They said he would always pay for girlfriend Marilou Danely when he ordered his usual venti mocha cappuccino and her medium caramel macchiato — but he wasn’t nice about it.
When Danely, 62, would ask for his casino card — which lets holders pay for services inside gambling halls using credits earned for playing — he would verbally lash the woman, a worker recalled.
“He would glare down at her and say — with a mean attitude — ‘You don’t need my casino card for this. I’m paying for your drink, just like I’m paying for you.’ Then she would softly say, ‘OK’ and step back behind him. He was so rude to her in front of us,” the worker said.
