CNN was yanked off the air Tuesday in Venezuela — about a minute after it aired footage of government tanks plowing into a crowd of protesters, the news agency said.
“DirecTV, Net Uno, Intercable, and Telefónica all received orders from Venezuela’s government regulator Conatel to block CNN,” the cable channel said.
A message in Spanish appeared in place of the network’s footage that read, “Program not available due to restrictions from the channel provider,” CNN said.
