An 82-year-old victim of the Boulder, Colorado, antisemitic firebomb attack has died weeks after she was badly burned, officials said.
Karen Diamond, who was among the 29 victims who were attacked while peacefully marching to support the Israeli hostages still held captive by Hamas, succumbed to her “severe injuries,” the Boulder County District Attorney’s Office said in a statement on Monday.
The suspect, Mohamed Soliman, is facing upgraded charges including two counts of first-degree murder, prosecutors said.

Boulder, Colorado, attack suspect Mohamed Sabry Soliman is seen as he launched a fiery attack on demonstrators at an outdoor mall, Sunday, June 1, 2025.
“This horrific attack has now claimed the life of an innocent person who was beloved by her family and friends,” District Attorney Michael Dougherty said.
Soliman allegedly attacked Diamond and the mostly elderly demonstrators on June 1 with a homemade flamethrower and molotov cocktails while they were peacefully partaking in a “Run for their Lives” walk.
The group would march weekly to show solidarity with the 50 Israeli hostages in Hamas’ hands 20 months after the Oct. 7, 2023 attack on Israel.
Soliman was allegedly waiting for the marchers at one of their scheduled stops outside of the Boulder County Courthouse, police said.

He also lobbed a pair of Molotov cocktails at the demonstrators — and stripped down to his bare chest after his shirt caught fire, video shows.
In an interview with authorities after his arrest, Soliman voiced hateful views about Jewish people, stating he wanted to “kill all Zionist people” and that he “wished they all were dead,” according to cops.

Soliman’s preliminary hearing has been scheduled for July 15.
