Dramatic video shows aftermath of the devastation in Turkey caused by the killer 7.0-magnitude earthquake that rocked the Aegean Sea Friday.

In the drone footage published by Reuters, collapsed and toppled buildings can be seen in hard-hit Izmir, a city on Turkey’s Aegean coast.

The footage shows rescue workers, along with search dogs, continuing to dig through rubble and ruins of flattened buildings on Sunday with the hopes of finding survivors.

Officials said 20 buildings were destroyed in Izmir’s Bayrakli district which had been in the process of urban transformation due to lack of earthquake resistance.

The powerful quake struck in the Aegean Sea between the Turkish coast and the Greek island of Samos.

The death toll from the earthquake in Turkey had risen to 85 Monday after teams discovered more bodies amid toppled buildings in Izmir, the country’s third-largest city.

Nearly 1,000 people – mostly in Turkey — were injured in the quake. It killed two teenagers on Samos and injured at least 19 other people on the island.

Miraculously, rescue teams pulled two young girls out alive Monday from the wreckage of their collapsed apartment buildings in Izmir.
