Interest in the second round of Democratic presidential debates has remained strong — with 73 percent of voters who will participate in a Democratic primary or caucus saying they are either “very motivated” or “somewhat motivated” to watch, a poll out Tuesday shows.

Fifteen percent said they were “not very motivated” and 8 percent said they had no motivation at all, a Politico/Morning Consult poll found.

Before the first Democratic debates in June, 37 percent said they were “very motivated” and 37 percent said they were “somewhat motivated” to watch.

Among respondents, 26 percent said they expect former Vice President Joe Biden to perform the best at the debates Tuesday and Wednesday on CNN.

Following Biden were Sens. Bernie Sanders at 18 percent, Elizabeth Warren at 17 percent and Kamala Harris at 15 percent.

Tuesday night’s debate will feature progressives Warren and Sanders, while Wednesday’s contest will offer a rematch of Harris and Biden, who set off sparks at last month’s event over busing and race.

Along with Sanders and Warren, the candidates Tuesday include: Gov. Steve Bullock, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, former Maryland Rep. John Delaney, former Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar, former Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke, Ohio Rep. Tim Ryan, and author Marianne Williamson.

Wednesday’s lineup includes: Sens. Michael Bennet, Cory Booker and Kirsten Gillibrand, former HUD Secretary Julian Castro, Mayor Bill de Blasio, Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, Washington Gov. Jay Inslee and businessman Andrew Yang.

The poll surveyed 1,994 registered voters between July 25 and 27 and has a plus/minus 2 percentage-point margin of error.
