In a jaw-dropping case of dumb and dumber, candidates in Charleston, W.Va., actually misspelled their party names on official forms.

Four Democrats wrote either “Democart” or “Democrate,” and two GOP members spelled out “Repbulican” and “Repucican.”

“I was kind of rushed,” explained red-faced Al Carey, who wrote “Repbulican.”

Move over, Miss America – a Thai woman has won the title of Miss Drunk by downing 10 pints of wine and walking a zigzag path between two rows of bottles.

The Bangkok contest was organized to promote Thai products and encourage people to stop drinking foreign booze.

Arunothai Sriaran, who beat 14 other women, said, “I was not drunk. Only a little bit dizzy.”

More proof that politics is full of boobs – a Chilean porn star has promised to flash her breasts at fellow legislators if she’s elected.

“Reichel,” 26, says she will whip off her shirt every time rival pols argue over issues.

“It will make them reach agreement. I’m going to get some nice implants so I’ll be happy to show them,” she explains.

The devil is making her do it. So says a retired Connecticut schoolteacher who’ll picket the Norwich Diocese this week and demand an exorcism to rid 19 demons from her body.

The 51-year-old woman, who identifies herself only as “Ms. B,” told the Norwich Bulletin that the Catholic Church has refused to listen to her claims.

“I’ll be carrying a sign and have my head covered in a hood. I want public exposure for the unpardonable neglect of people who are possessed,” she said.

Palm Springs, Calif., has added a new attraction – the Naked Bridge, which links two sections of a clothing-optional resort.

While the bridge is designed to keep nudists from streaking across the highway to get from one section to another, officials also hail it as a gateway over one of the city’s main entry points.

Motorists hoping for a quick flash of flesh will be disappointed – the 25-ton, 80-foot span will have 5-foot-high walls.
