Three fugitives who had barricaded themselves in a Florida attic ran out of their hiding hole and straight into the arms of cops – after they found a human skeleton in the creepy spot.

One of the panicked probation-violation suspects screamed, “Get me out of here! There’s a dead body up here!” said Daytona Beach Sgt. Al Tolley.

Cops are investigating why the skeleton was there in the first place.

Inmates at an Oklahoma prison are boycotting the cafeteria – because the meals are too healthy.

Under the new low-fat, heart-friendly menu at the Cimarron Correctional Facility, ground beef has been replaced with ground turkey, and mashed potatoes are banned.

The finicky jailbirds say they’d rather go hungry than take another bite of the turkey loaf.

A Minnesota grandma jokingly demanded money from a bank teller – and ended up spending the night in jail.

Tellers at the American Heritage Bank in St. Cloud said they weren’t sure Ellen Ann Sheets was kidding, and called the cops, who arrested at her home as she was feeding her 17-month-old grandson.

Her outraged hubby, Dennis, said, “Anyone who knows us knows this isn’t what we do. My wife’s not a bank robber.”

Ellis Thomas had a very rude awakening when a stolen car plowed into his Massachusetts home, pushing his double bed through a wall.

“The driver failed to navigate a turn and crashed into the house, sending the resident and his bed outside. That is where he woke up,” said Dennis Police Lt. Martin Murphy.

Thomas, 34, is OK.

A rare feathered visitor to Britain survived a grueling, 15-hour journey from Norway – only to be eaten by a birdwatcher’s cat on arrival.

The unlucky bird was one of only 30 Scandinavian robins known to have made the 400-mile flight to Britain since 1919.

The cat’s owner wrote to a bird charity to report the unusual sight in her garden in the north of England – but confessed the robin was dead in her cat’s mouth at the time.
