Cops have arrested a California man for brazenly taking “ecstasy” with his two kids – in front of TV cameras.
The 43-year-old Sacramento man, featured on the HBO documentary “Small Town Ecstasy” with his 13-year-old son and 15-year-old daughter, was charged with child endangerment.
But Calaveras County DA Jeff Tuttle is also slamming HBO. “I don’t think it’s appropriate to stand by and watch kids take drugs without doing something about it,” he said.
HBO officials aren’t talking.

A book checked out of a Michigan library in the 1920s has been returned – 74 years late, and in Canada.
“Bird Life: A Guide To Study Of Common Birds” was signed out of Ann Arbor Library in April 1928. It was dropped off this month at St. Mary’s University library in Halifax – but nobody knows by who.
An Ann Arbor library spokeswoman said: “We’re quite thrilled to have it back. It really is a wonderful little book.”
The book by Frank Chapman was published in 1925 and was borrowed 19 times before being signed out for the last time.

Two California students were suspended for passing out fliers that called their high school’s bathrooms dirty, said the principal was “a tad queer” and likened a campus security guard to a Nazi.
But Garrett Anderson and Michael Kinnon, both 16 and from Palmdale, plan to fight Palmdale HS in court, saying their free-speech rights were squashed.
Kinnon said he understood how the brass might be upset by some of the material, but added: “Constructive criticism of school officials is good.”

Three peaceniks face jail for throwing paper airplanes at the U.S. Embassy in Oslo, Norway.
The trio dreamed up the stunt – to protest American military involvement in Afghanistan – during a booze binge at their local pub.
They filled two bags with paper planes and aimed them at armed security guards.
“It was something special – throwing paper airplanes at police armed with machine guns,” said one of the men. The three were charged with disturbing the peace.
