When the folks at a Dairy Queen in Bozeman, Mont., promised a free cup of their “Moo-latte” coffee drink to anyone who showed up with a live cow, they never expected any takers.

Then again, they didn’t know rancher Skip Hougland, who marched his 10-year-old Scottish Highland steer, Charlie, into the store to collect his complimentary java.

Stunned manager Minde Erickson made good on the offer, but noted, “It seems like a lot of work.”

A man with chutzpah to spare took a car for a test drive – and used it to rob a Utah bank.

Cops say the suspect, accompanied by an unwitting salesman, pulled up to a bank in South Ogden, saying he was running in to make a quick withdrawal.

Moments later, he emerged with a sack of money, nonchalantly drove back to the car lot, and walked away.

A Los Angeles couple has raised a Cabbage Patch doll as their only son for 19 years.

The doll, named Kevin, goes everywhere with Pat and Joe Posey and they talk to him, with Joe replying as the voice of Kevin.

Kevin also has a playroom, toy Corvette, pet dog, full wardrobe and $3,000 college fund.

“With every kid that you adopt, you promise to love them and be a good parent and take care of this child. [He’s] easygoing, quiet and well-behaved,” says Pat, who adds that she and her hubby prefer Kevin to their real-life daughter.

Inventor Leonard Van Munster of the Netherlands says the computer cracks jokes to remind the user to hurry up.

One line goes, “Do you know that during this 50 minutes you’ve spent in the toilet, 50 people have died in wars all over the world?”

An artist in Santiago, Chile, has turned himself into a human food court, offering passers-by sandwiches and desserts. Patrick Jambon says his performance “erases the frontiers between body, architecture, art and commerce.”
