Matthew McConaughey claims his new Hollywood Hills home is haunted by a nude female ghost.
The actor said he freaked out when first saw the streaking spirit – and began chasing after it with a baseball bat. But he’s now befriended her and named her Madame Blue.
“Maybe being nude all the time is why we get along,” he told the British magazine Femalefirst.
This falls in the better-late-than-never category: The Scottish town of Prestonpans will celebrate Halloween by pardoning 81 people – and their cats – executed in the 16th and 17th centuries.
Most were condemned on flimsy evidence – such as owning a black cat or brewing homemade remedies.
“There’ll be no witches’ hats, dress-ups or that sort of thing – it will be a fairly solemn ceremony,” said an official.
A woman in Sheboygan, Wis., has been arrested for digging up her dead boyfriend’s ashes and drinking the beer that was buried with them.
Karen Stolzmann is accused of committing the “bizarre and twisted” crime – which was just recently discovered – more than 10 years ago after boyfriend Michael Hendrickson committed suicide.
Officials said she apparently did it to get back at his family – for not inviting her to his funeral.
When the conductor on the British train came upon a sleeping passenger, he stamped and returned his ticket and went about his business.
Minutes later, when the train pulled into the York station, he learned the passenger was dead.
“The conductor needn’t have been so careful, as it turned out the passenger had expired long before his ticket ever did,” noted a report in the staff magazine of the British Transport Police.
Kissing as a traditional Russian greeting has gotten the kiss-off for officials in the Moscow regional government.
They’ve been told to skip the lip-smacking and stick to handshakes.
The change is expected to save both time and the embarrassment of seeing pictures of the “kissing ceremony” in the media.
